On October 27, 2020, the Penn State Center for Agricultural and Shale Law hosted the first of a quarterly webinar series, Quarterly Dairy Industry Legal Update. The first half of the webinar was presented by staff attorney Brook Duer who provided an overview of recent legal developments impacting the dairy industry. The second half of the webinar included an in depth discussion with Marvin Beshore on the purpose, objectives, and impact of Federal Milk Marketing Order 51.

Online Resources
The Center has teamed up with Penn State Extension to create the Pennsylvania Farm Employers’ Listserv (PFEL) email networking and discussion group. This group will allow farm employers to ask questions and share information relating to agricultural labor issues with others working in the agricultural industry.

On Thursday, Brook Duer participated as a panelist in a webinar hosted by Penn State Extension titled, Prices and Economics of Solar Leasing in PA. The webinar discussed varying prices and terms offered for leasing ground for large scale solar development, discussed prices offered for options and lease agreements, and examined the feasibility of future development.
