Selected Existing LNG Export Facilities in the U.S.

The Cove Point Liquefaction Project

The Cove Point Liquefaction is an expansion project of the existing Dominion Energy Cove Point LNG terminal located on the Chesapeake Bay in Calvert County, Maryland. The project involved the construction of liquefaction facilities, which will allow the export of liquefied natural gas internationally from the Marcellus and Utica shale formations out of the existing Cove Point LNG terminal.

Construction of the liquefaction facilities started in October 2014 and the Cove Point liquefied natural gas terminal entered commercial service for natural gas liquefaction and export in April 2018.
