The Corpus Christi LNG Terminal

Operated by Cheniere Energy, the Corpus Christi Liquefaction project involved the construction of additional liquefaction and export facilities, including three liquefaction trains, at one of Cheniere’s existing sites on the La Quinta Channel of Corpus Christi Bay in San Patricio County, Texas.

Train 1 and 2 entered in service in February and August 2019, respectively. Train 3 is scheduled to enter into operation in 2021.

Note: On November 22, 2019, Corpus Christi Liquefaction, LLC and Corpus Christi Liquefaction State III, LLC received approval from FERC under the Natural Gas Act to construct and operate the Corpus Christi Stage 3 expansion project. This Stage 3 project will expand the Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project and will increase production capacity with the addition of seven midscale liquefaction trains and one LNG storage tank.
