Bioengineered Food Disclosure
U.S. Former President Barack Obama signed into law S. 764, which became Public Law No. 114-216 – also known as the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard. The Act directs the U.S. Department of Agriculture to create a national bioengineered disclosure standard by July 29, 2018 for the regulation of bioengineered food labels.
Cell-Cultured Food Regulations
USDA and FDA released a formal agreement, which sets out the responsibilities and roles of the two agencies in overseeing cell-cultured meat production, processing and labeling.
CERCLA / EPCRA Reporting
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published in the Federal Register a final rule, titled "Amendment to Emergency Release Notification Regulations on Reporting Exemption for Air Emissions From Animal Waste at Farms; Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act." The final rule amends the emergency release notification regulations under the EPCRA and will become effective on July 15, 2019.
