Understanding the Basics of Licensing & Regulation of Direct Agricultural Product Sales

On December 16, 2022, from 12 noon – 1:00 ET, the Penn State Center for Agricultural and Shale Law, alongside the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Business Development Center presented this webinar on direct agricultural product sales as part of our ongoing educational series, “Understanding Agricultural Law.” This session in our series is entitled, “Understanding the Basics of Licensing & Regulation of Direct Agricultural Product Sales.”

This session covered the state laws and county/municipal ordinances that regulate the activity of producing and selling foods for human consumption, including health/food code licensing requirements for the storage, production and sale of food, sales tax licensing and collection, and other regulatory requirements that may apply in particular contexts, venues, or jurisdictions.
