On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from noon–1:00 p.m. (ET), Center Staff Attorney Jackie Schweichler will present “Navigating ADA Compliance for Agritourism Guests” as part of the National Agricultural Law Center’s webinar series. 

From the National Agricultural Law Center: 

This presentation will provide an overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) within the context of agritourism operations and on-farm guests. Farmers and landowners who open their operations to the public are required to comply with ADA rules and ensure that their business is accessible to all guests. This presentation will cover relevant ADA requirements, including physical accessibility, transportation, and signage in relation to a farm setting. Special attention will be given to service animals and legal obligations for emotional support animals. 

Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of their responsibilities under the ADA, as well as ideas for creating a more accessible environment for all visitors, ensuring a positive experience for everyone while avoiding potential legal pitfalls.
