Cultivating Accessibility: ADA Guidelines for Agritourism

This presentation explores how the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) applies to agritourism operations and on-farm visitors. When farms welcome the public, they must meet ADA standards to ensure access for all guests. The session will outline key requirements related to accessibility, including considerations for pathways, transportation, and signage in a farm environment. It will also take a closer look at the rules surrounding service animals and the distinctions from emotional support animals.

Participants will gain practical insights into ADA compliance and learn strategies to make their operations more inclusive and welcoming, while also minimizing legal risk.
